KPEP names new Program Managers

Paul Gugino, Program Manager, Muskegon

Todd Maurer, Program Manager, Chicago Men’s

KPEP has recently named two new program managers.

Paul Gugino was promoted to program manager of the Muskegon facility. Paul began working at KPEP in January 2013 and has earned several promotions over the past five years.

He started as a part time resident coordinator and, in March 2013, was promoted to full time resident coordinator.  After a year in the resident coordinator position, Paul was promoted to counselor at the Park Street facility.  In this position, Paul worked primarily with Kalamazoo Drug Treatment Court and the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment residents.  Over this past summer, he was promoted to senior counselor at the Muskegon facility and, effective October 1, 2018, was named program manager of the Muskegon facility.

Paul enjoys working with the clients and making an impact on their lives. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology in December 2012.

Todd Maurer was promoted to men’s program manager at the Chicago Avenue facility. He began his career with KPEP in 2008 as a part time resident coordinator. In 2009, he advanced to a full time resident coordinator position, then was promoted to counselor in 2010.  While working as a counselor, Todd worked predominantly at the Olmstead Rd. facility and worked with the Residential Sex Offender Program participants. He was promoted to senior counselor at the Chicago Avenue facility in early 2018 and was named the men’s program manager there on October 1, 2018.

Todd is a proud alum of Western Michigan University having graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology.
